WEEK 2 HAS COME AND GONE

Well week 2 has come and gone, with Brown/Matco walking away with T-JET and FUNY CAR honors to add to his over all point standings. While D.L race team caught PRO STOCK & X-TRAC honors. Brax/JEGS walks with TOP FUEL honors for the 2nd week. During that TOP FUEL run the Brax/Jegs team had a bit of a problem with qualifying. with having engine problems the team still managed to pull out  a win against Brown/Matco as well as posting a time of .655. I know that crew chief got a bonus for that effort. Congrats to Brax/Jegs who is winning in point standings, T-JET, X-TRAC, and TOP FUEL. D.L Race team  is in two standings, PRO STOCK and FUNNY CAR. Can't wait for week 3.  Burn rubber gents, see ya on the track.

NEW VIDEO - WK 2 HIGHLIGHTS

TAP IT A NO SHOW?

When the NAPA funny car lined up to the staging area, everyone was ready to see the bright orange body of TAP IT right next to it, instead the PATRON car pulled up. I spoke with the head mechanic for the Howard race team, all he said was "While TAP IT is getting some minor repair work done", we decided to give PATRON a shot at it's first race. Thou PATRON lost , the run looked promising. Burn rubber gents, see ya on the track!

RED LIGHT SPECIAL

Like any other driver, the hole shot is an every race event that is trying to be achieved, for a fast track time. But of course, the risk is the red light, which disqualifies the time.

There weren't too many red lights on the day. CB racing 0 on the day. Brown/Matco 2, Brax/Jegs 1, D.L racing 2, Howard racing 1. But the season is still young.

Brax/Jegs sweeps all but one.

Week 1 has come and gone, with a strong showing by the Brax/Jegs team who swept all classes but one, Funny car. Did 'Tap It" prevent the broom from coming out? Brown/Matco had some strong showings but couldn't bring home the gold. CB All Out Racing had a spill, from the naked eye it seems the loss of traction was the cause. With out the cameras rolling, that's all we can assume. Howard racing denies any wrong doing. A lot of red lighting from all camps, though Howard race team holds the most red lights it seems all other camps are gaining speed to catch Howard race team. Also it seems CB All Out Racing and Brown/Matco were in talks about throwing a race to get at D.L race team this matter is still under investigation. How will week 2 unfold? We shall see.
